Egyszer a filozófiaprofesszor az óráján elmesélt egy viccet, a diákjai felnevettek. Pár perc múlva, a professzor újra elmondta a viccet, ekkor már csak páran mosolyogtak rajta. Az óra vége előtt újra elmesélte a sokadszor hallott viccet, amin már senki sem nevetett. A professzor mosolygott, s így szólt: ‘Mint láthattuk, az emberek többsége nem tud nevetni ugyanazon a viccen kétszer; de vajon akkor hogy képesek egy dolog miatt újra és újra sírni?’
